Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be among the top gymnasts. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They grew in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone began to take an interest in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl in a day-care field excursion in Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under the direction of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles received a silver medal in vault, and a bronze medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began competing in elite levels of competition. Within two years, she won the event. The thing that set Biles apart was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the extreme level of difficulty she incorporated into her routines in all four events--vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercises.
