Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and performer. She works primarily with Tamil and Malayalam movies. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam in addition to her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was raised to the same Anglo-Indian family at Arakkonam in Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father works as a solicitor in the Madras High Court. She also has a younger sister, who works as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah lived near Chennai and attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars is a Jackson Five style group that she became a member of when she was 10 years old that was the basis of her music and singing career. The actress was also a stage performer in the college she attended and performed in a variety of productions staged in collaboration with The Madras Players and EVAM. She was also an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's stage career started with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the leo coffee commercial alongside Shiva. Also, she was a part of the serial that was broadcast on Podhigai channel. She performed throughout India. She played a brief role in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 climax. She sang in a song to Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to be one of his lead female characters in Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed, with Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker who's husband is involved in an affair, and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea won the role of Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and other actors were approached. It was released early in 2010. In 2011 she agreed to perform a small supporting role that was released early in the year. Venkat Prabhu's film with a number of stars Mankatha which was released in August of 2011. Annayum Rasoolum is a romantic movie made by Rajeeev Rath released in 2013, marked her Malayalam debut.
