Niykee is a song-writer that, in spite of her whirlwind career has maintained a regular routine. Her personal highlights have included her being picked by Snoop dogg to become his private assistant at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. She is a constant magnet for producers who are just starting out. Many of the tracks she gets are a source of songs. She claims that she is able to discern if a beat is good in just five seconds. And then, a brand new track will come into her mind. I sit on my backyard with my guitar and the words just come and usually it's finished in just thirty minutes. Niykee's experiences from her past provide endless sources of motivation. It's hard to avoid the painful memories of my youth, especially losing my younger sister. The memories end up getting incorporated in her music. It shapes my songs and builds this deeper understanding behind all things that's among the most significant things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I could hear any of my songs 20 years later and be happy with what I said.
